 "When i was young it wasn't about the money,it wasn't about the fame and fortune, it was about playing football", In the book Out Of The Blue, the author, Victor Cruz, has to teach himself a lot of things dads are suppose to teach their kids. He had to deal with so much stress, at one point his grades were decreasing for B's and C's to D's and F's. Anyone who has ever been frustrated with their father should read Out Of The Blue by Victor Cruz.

  Sometimes kids get stressed out by their parents, its normal. But for young Victor Cruz, he had to deal with the stress of being the man of the house, something a Man much older then him should be, not some scrawny kid. Victor would think he would be too weak to defend his mother and grandparents if something happened to them. Victor grew up in Patterson, NJ, There was a lot of poverty and drugs. Victor coped with all of his problems by playing sports. Playing sports gave him confidence about his strength and his body. Victor was also going into a little depression about not having a dad around, but after playing sports he was as happy as any kid, you could never tell that he was depressed. Victors declining grades went back up to B's and C's because of playing sports, such as Basketball and Football. Victor Really needed a father in his life, his mom could tell. So she tried everything she could to try to get him back into his life. and then, for the first time in 7 years, Victor got to see his father, at the age of 16. Now with all the stress in his life about protecting his family was gone, Victor began partying and Drinking underage which messed with his grades. Then Again they started to decline. Victor's Dad noticed his partying and underage drinking, and for the first time in 7 years, he got disciplined from a man he looked up to, and then he realized what he had been doing is wrong. He stopped immediately, and he was so happy to say he had somebody to help him, somebody to look up to.

  Out Of The Blue by Victor Cruz is a must read if you have been frustrated with your father. This book definitely has a connection to the world, a lot of kids I personally know could definitely relate to this book. I don't really have a connection to the book, I have a caring and loving father who supports me every time i need it. One thing every kid to relate to in this book is getting frustrated with their parents, its only natural. Kids who are frustrated with their parents should definitely read Out Of The Blue by Victor Cruz.
